The principal objectives and rules of the CACC are to provide and maintain a list of judges and lecturers for the use of the associate Clubs, and to assist in the promotion of good standards of club photography.

The CACC also organises a variety of inter-club competitions, the details of which can be found in the relevent sections.

Member Clubs are drawn from a broad area centered on the Chilterns and Thames Valley region, covering Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Middlesex, Hertfordshire, West London and parts of Northamptonshire.
